We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Event Manager to join our team at WOWS Global. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-impact events that connect startups, investors, and industry leaders. The Event Manager will oversee networking events, demo days, investor roundtables, and conferences, ensuring seamless execution and engagement. This role requires strong organizational skills, vendor management expertise, and a deep understanding of event planning within the startup and investment ecosystem.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Planning & Coordination: Develop and execute events such as startup demo days, investor networking sessions, and industry panels to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Logistics & Operations: Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering, AV setup, and event-day operations.
- Marketing & Promotion: Work with the marketing team to create event materials, promotional campaigns, and social media content to maximize attendance.
- Speaker & Attendee Management: Coordinate with investors, startup founders, keynote speakers, and panelists to ensure smooth event execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors, partners, and high-profile attendees, fostering strong relationships.
- Budget & Compliance: Oversee event budgets, track expenses, and ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Post-Event Reporting: Collect feedback, measure success metrics, and provide insights for continuous event improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in event management, corporate events, investor relations, or startup ecosystems.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to engage with high-profile investors, founders, and corporate leaders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in event management software, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience in coordinating with vendors, managing partnerships, and handling sponsorships.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to oversee logistics, contracts, and execution plans with precision.
- Passion for the Startup Ecosystem: Understanding of venture capital, private equity, and startup fundraising trends is a plus.
